1_smallThe vegetation in the valleys of the Park is the result of the joint action of two fundamental ecological factors: the particular climate in the area and the geological substratum. High rainfall, relatively mil temperatures and a fairly limited temperature range all create an oceanic type of climate which favours the development of very rich and varied vegetations.

In the Park area there is a cohabitation of elements of wild life of Mediterranean, circum-Mediterranean and Oriental origin. All the Alpine ungulates are present in the area (roebuck, deer, chamois, etc).Lying on the margin of the main traffic arteries which have connected this area of Lumbardy to the countries beyond the Alps since the remote past, the territory is rich in historic and cultural elements.
Summer stables and mountain dairies , farmhouse and country village, architectures and fortified towns are a precious accompaniment to the area’s natural heritage.
